Dear friends of the Museum for Islamic Art,

We cordially invite you to an exclusive special tour on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, starting at 5 p.m. at the Humboldt Forum. Together with curator Dr. Melanie Krebs, we will explore the exhibition on Islamicate arts.

Dr. Krebs will guide us through the galleries "Aspects of Islam," "Discovering the West," and "Decorative Arts of Central Asia." Since moving to the Humboldt Forum, the Museum of Asian Art and the Ethnological Museum of the National Museums in Berlin have presented their collections in new spaces in the heart of Berlin. Many works previously featured in the "Worlds of Muslims" exhibition in Dahlem are now being presented in a new museum presentation. The tour offers fascinating insights into the conception and design of the current exhibition in the reconstructed Berlin Palace.

Please note that jackets, bags, and similar items are not permitted in the exhibition spaces. We will therefore meet 15 minutes before the tour begins, i.e., at 4:45 p.m., in front of the cloakroom on the ground floor. Together we will then move on to meet the curator and start our tour. Please don't forget to bring your membership card.
