What is our task?

The Friends of the Museum of Islamic Art in the Pergamonmuseum, a registered association founded in 2009, endeavors to foster the unique position of the Museum of Islamic Art and support the work it does.
At the same time, by engaging with the diverse cultural heritage of Muslim societies, we would like to contribute to global understanding and mutual cultural exchange.

Who can become a member?

• Persons from all walks of life, faiths and nationalities who are interested in art
• Individuals, companies and institutions

How can I become involved?

• Through financial support
• By contributing ideas and participating in projects

Which types of activities are supported?

• Exhibitions and special events
• Restoration projects
• New acquisitions and publications
• Public relations campaigns that target and attract new groups of visitors
• Child, youth and adult education programs that impart themed content
• Development of interfaces between contemporary and traditional arts and handicrafts

What do members receive in return?

• An annual membership provides access to all of Berlin’s State Museums (including special exhibitions)
• Special events, previews, openings, lectures and presentations
